How to get here

You can easily get to Frýdek-Místek by car along the highway from Olomouc or Český Těšín along the international road R48. It takes 3,2 hours from Prague to F-M or 1,4h from Brno or 2,5h from Bratislava and Wroclaw or 1h from Katowice or 1,5h from Kraków and 4h from Warszawa.

In the centre of city around both historical centres you can use 10 parking areas with a capacity of more than 2000 places.

Leoš Janáček International Airport lies in Mošnov, which is 15 minutes drive from the centre of Frýdek-Místek. The domestic, public airport in Frýdlant nad Ostravici also well serves for private flights.

For travelling by express train to Frýdek- Místek, you can transfer in Ostrava to a local line. An alternative possibility is transferring in Olomouc to from the RegioJet express to the Student Agency bus, which connects Brno, Olomouc and Frýdek-Místek by highway express.

Municipal public transport includes 21 lines, which connect the centre of city and the suburbs. The price of a ticket for F-M is 20 Czech crowns.
